I spoke to someone who is pretty adamant that I need to include copies of my last 3 years' W-2s with my I-129f packet. I have found nothing to confirm this, so thought I would put this out here for some final resolution: Do I need to include my W-2s with my I-129f or is this only required when i send my fiance the I-134 and other items involved with that, after the NOA2 arrives? Thanks for your help.

After the NOA2 with the packet you send your fiance that contains the I-134 and its supporting documents. Not with the I-129F.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thanks inky

NP, they need current info thats why. If you sent it with I-129f none of the stuff on the form or the evidence you sent would be current. Hence sending it when its after NOA2 and near interview time. Then you can send the most recent paystubs/letter etc.

Once you do need to send in the affidavit info - it depends on the embassy your going through - they may require more info then what is requested on the I-134 instructions.

Usually - they will want the most recent tax years info (1040 and W-2 or IRS tax transcript) - You would send in 3 years if you need more to help your case. (like your income is low)

Do not just send in the W-2's - without the 1040's, they do not prove you actually paid taxes. (which is why I also recommend the tax transcripts).

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Oh, and thank you too, because I was just wondering if they need to see both 1040 & W-2. Now I know it, they need both. So thank you for this detailed answer.

27 NOV 2019 - I-129F mailed to Dallas, TX Lockbox

02 DEC 2019 - NOA1

23 MAR 2020 - NOA2
