My biometrics were taken 3 months ago and I still havent got any response.

Ive had 2 infopass appointments and called USCIS customer service. they all said the same that is "this case is pending".

So whats the matter with this? What can cause such a long delay?

Thanks.

3bvsla, I think I know why your case got delayed a little bit longer...I think because you are late to have your biometrics done. Your biometrics was out of schedule and that throw you out of timeline. But relax they are reviewing your case for Preliminary Processing because your I-485 is still at Vermont Service Center and after the Preliminary Processing is completed they will forward your case to NBC to schedule your Interview with your local office. Just a question hope no criminal convictions on your record? Also to be on the safe side call USCIS National Customer Service Center tomorrow and make a Service Request about your case outside processing time and it might make them do something very quick regarding your case. Vermont still got your I-485. Your late Biometrics caused all this delay. Call Customer Center and make Service Request for Action on your case. Good Luck.

Our AOS took over 7 months. When I called (this was a few years ago) they told me 6 months was considered the standard processing time. After 6 months I called and the response was "give us 30 more days and then call back". We made an infopass appointment and had a very unpleasant experience when they told me 18 to 24 months was normal...I told them BS, and ended up in quite the scene at that office. Before we were nearly thrown out I had the supervisor send off the service request. Less than two weeks later we got a notice of our interview.

Your signature shows your NOA1 date as April 13 and the VSC processing times show 4 months. You will not be beyond processing time till after Aug 13. May 13 = one month, June = 2, July = 3, and August 13th = 4 months.

You really only have three options:

1. Wait

2. Request a Service request as previously mentioned, (but wait unil you are actually beyond processing time)

3. Contact yoir local Congressman or Senator to inquire on your case, (but wait unil you are actually beyond processing time)

Your timeline doesn't show a delay that's out of the ordinary. Give it some more time. I believe USCIS sets their goal as 6 months and they're not likely to look into it for you until it's been at least six months.

Ours took 186 days.

The processing time for VSC is now showing 6 months so you still have two months to go before being beyond processing time.
