I filed the I130 for my mother on the 17th of july and got a notice of Action dated on the 28th of july, the only thing on the notice was :I-130 has been receievd by our office for the following beneficiary and is in process. Any idea of when i will hear again from them and what is the next step?

and

http://www.visajourney.com/content/immigration-parents

as for 'next' - yer waiting on I-130 approval - should be less than 180 days, from that 'receipt notice date'.

Once it's approved, the casefile moves into NVC.

Wait about 2 weeks from the official I-130 approval date, then follow these steps --> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

Good Luck !

if you go to the following link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/281110-california-service-center-to-texas-service-center/

you will see many people are waiting for approval. All cases that has been transferred to TSC, for some reason is being hold over there and there is no news. if you read about those who called USCIS, they got different answers without any specific timeline for approval. we have to wait until next year and hopefully we hear good news.

Ok here we go :

I am getting ready to file an I-130 for my mum and dad ( they are both UK citizens and i hold dual with US and UK ) - I figure its going to be $420 each to file and then get an approval and an interview , what other costs are involved ( medical , biometrics etc ??? ) do i need to do an Affridavit ?

How long is the process as they plan on coming to visit me May till July and then again November till January , what happens if they get interview scheduled etc when they are here by the way here is Texas ???

Last question - i am really worried about them moving here due to the medical implications over here ( father is 71 , mum 66 ) so i do not think they will be working .......Does anybody have a clue regarding medical coverage etc ?

Thanks and i know there is a lot of questions - any help is appreciated ...

Dave

Dave - fees are the same as an IR-1 Spousal Visa - take a look at the Guides ? more stuff $$ at NVC.

if yer looking at VJ from a cell phone - this might not be so obvious - so - on a computer with internet access -

Train yer eyeballs up/north - find the word 'Guides', click it - and you'll be dropped to the Guides section here at VJ.

and then

PICK THE GUIDE that's appropriate to yer casefile type.

Good Luck !
