I don't know, dude. I think McCain's gonna win this November.

This is very good news for John McCain.

McCain,

Physically moribund, dead-in-water election-wise (prediction: J.D. Hayworth will win Republican Senate-seat nomination, after that no-holds-barred).

When I came to Washington State in 2008, I was told it was necessary for me to get an 'Alien Firearms License' if I wanted a target rifle. Trouble was the Fed were not cooperating with Washington Licensing so all issuance of these licenses had stopped the year before.

Under the 'Jim Crow' laws, black people were not citizens so this law had been used to disarm blacks but also caught up Green Card holders

The National Rifle Association took the case up and in July 2008, GC holders were then allowed to be exempt from the Alien Firearm's License due to:

The 14th Amendment which demands that all resident whether USC or GC must be treated equally

Like all amendments it is circumvented by actual practice and it takes me sometimes 24 hours to get clearance. I have a concealed pistol license but I don't carry because I think it is dangerous for everyone not least me. I do carry when I am hiking in the mountains as there are bears and mountain lions - but her indoors does not know I am !

I'm no expert but would a pistol really bring a bear down?

Yes if you stick it in its eye and pull the trigger

There is a reason bears travel in pairs.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

That's not as certaina as you make it seem. The primary season was rather disappointing for the teabagger freaks thus far. Wherever they were successful, they've basically accomplished to ensure re-election of an all but defeated Democrat incumbent - see the pearl that the Nevada teabagger freaks managed to lift on a pedestal.
