Banned in Australia genius. Why would any state ban them here, when you can own automatics.

I didn't imply that Spook should know Australian laws.

How or why would I know the guns laws of every state? To take a line out of your posts, why would I care to know?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Then why make a broad brush statement and say all states. Why brag about how precious citizenship is in Australia and not mention that the law was changed in the 1980's.

Why? Because yes, you don't care to know..... anything it appears.

which was a clarification of the earlier ambiguity ("most states") which had confused spook.

Just in case you're still unclear as to what he said,

"in most states" + "banned in Australia genius" = "Banned in most Australian states, genius"

Semi-automatic and automatic are two very different beasts. Also correct me if I am wrong but when you say "all states" I am pretty sure that implies every state.

The 2008 reversal on the DC gun ban deal did not mean you can own any pistol you want anywhere. For instance in California new pistols have to meet requirements for drop testing, loaded chamber indicator, and magazine disconnect.
