hey everyone,

my husband filled the form about my case for senator and I also found an immigration lawyer. she told me that she will try to contact montreal embassy and will get a date ASAP. hope it works..will let you guys know about it.

If it's not far.....make a trip to embassy.....with all details......they might schedule a date right away and give you appointment letter.....if you explain that you have a child and will be hard to cope up with all this rescheduling stuff.....you can try if it's near by......because talking personally would make diff. at times.....good luck

I really hope it works out for you but I have never read of any cases where a lawyer has had any pull with Montreal at all. Let us know what happens. There are many filers waiting for Montreal that will be very interested in your lawyer's result!

thanks for the info..i already tried this number and unfortunately no luck i also tried the phone number where u can talk to the live person but they will charge u on the credit card. i tried two times..but they told me samething that they have only non immigrant visa info and i can only book an appointment regarding non immigrant visa. there is only one way to contact the embassy regarding Immigrant visa which is an email. I also asked her what will happen if i just show up there so she said you are going to waste your money because they wont let u come in without an appointment.

hey everyone,

i just received a reply from Montreal embassy. i sent them couple of emails every week regarding my case. they replied for june 29.

that my case is on waiting list and they will let me know when they reschedule it.

hope it will be soon...

I wish I had better news for you but really, this is the curse of the Montreal consulate. It is so busy anyway, not to mention backlogged!

Just remember, no news is good news. At least they still have your file right?!?!?!

does anyone know if i can get an appointment from embassy to talk to them about my interview reschedule. I searched everywhere but the non immigrant visa appoint info is available only. what will happen if i just show up there. or is there any way i can get an appointment with them.

There might be small chance for the USCitizen to 'get in', if Montreal handles appointments for 'American Citizen Hour' or 'American Citizen Services'.

you are right but the thing is there is one post in which they suggest that may be if i will go then it works but i m moving in a circle. time is flying and still waiting for interview. i hope u understand that when someone is in difficult situation then they will try to find anything to solve the problem.

Please check out Darnell's above links to see if you can get some "emergency appointment". What happened after talking to lawyer?

loto, i hired a lawyer she is saying that she will talk to the chief and try to reschedule my interview soon also mention that montreal embassy have shortage of staff and back logged too so it might take some time.
