Yes, you can track your package if you know approximately when NVC shipped the package. If, for instance, they said that they shipped it today (March 1, 2011), you will input the following on their tracking page (http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef)

1. Reference: EXP 28 FEB 2011A (or try it tomorrow by putting in EXP 01 MAR 2011A)

2. Shipment pickup date range: select from Feb 28 to Mar 1 (or you can select a wider range)

3. Click "Track" to see the search results.

Hope this helps..

Thanks Adilet&Venera! I'll check it again just to make sure :0)

Is it really normal for the petitioner to call NVC after 2 weeks of receiving the NOA2? Or the case number will also be mailed to the petitioner?

I think its really beneficial to get the case number so you can add it to your requests if you have questions for the embassy. I emailed the embassy quite a few times and I put the case number in the subject line.. makes it faster in my opinion.. to get answers.

Thank you. Yeah we were pretty surprised since most Irish timelines were showing at least a months wait for the interview.

Wow.. Congratulations Gingerpants!!!! That was a superfast turnaround. I would have to fall in love with someone from a very nonchalant country. :D Enjoy!

How long did it take for the NVC to receive the packet for you all? I got my NOA2 2/15 and NVC still hasn't received it.

I still don't know when the embassy actually received the information.. but it took 2 weeks or more. Just keep emailing or calling..

Trying to stay positive that this journey is almost over, but it's hard when dealing with a consulate like Montreal. I filed last August and I likely won't get an interview date until June. They haven't logged my Packet 3 (that I know of) and the earliest interview date is May 31st so far ... ugh I can't believe this process will take nearly a year. Oh well, what can ya do.

I hear ya Coconuts.. I remember getting all this approval stuff in January, then it seemed like everything slowed down. This process is torture.

Wow it's been awhile since I've posted!

Well since the last post, The Egypt Embassy re-opened right as I was trying to get it transferred to I aborted that and got our interview scheduled for June 12! I flew to Cairo for the interview and it was approved that day, this is where things got a bit messy. The consulate official stated he was going to expedite our request so my fiancee would have her visa within the week, after a few days I emailed the embassy asking if they had sent it out yet and they said it would be sent out soon. At the one week mark I emailed again and they said it was on the desk of an official, this is where I got impatient seeing as of how our engagement anniversary was that week along with my birthday and wanted her to be there with me.

I ended up contacting a Senator and she got her visa on Sunday! She'll be flying in Saturday :D
