i'm an April filer and yes still waiting on the NOA2. Hoping to get it this month at least, but going on the average processing time an interview may be scheduled right around Christmas here. Just wondering if the holidays will slow down the processing times, possibly speed them up or have no effect?? Hoping to get a response from someone who had a similar visa journey last year or prior years or knows of someone that went through the start of the NVC journey around August. Thanks so much :-)

It will slightly slow things down as the embassy effectively shuts down for half of December, shouldn't be too bad though. Hopefully you'll get an interview date before then!

^^ agree. They will obviously slow down as they take off time for the holidays, plus the individual adjudicators will take time off too like regular people

Good luck

Not too sound pessimistic but NVC is ALREADY slowing down. They went from completing cases in 8-11 business days, to 5 weeks and nothing yet. There is a group of people in another thread waiting for CC, in my case we're about to enter week 6 and no CC yet.

I really hope they start speeding things up!

Good luck!
