I don't understand why it is taking so long for a case complete! Yes I know, it can take 4-6 weeks once they get the paperwork but I got a RFE for one piece of paperwork and then sent it in...so, one would think they had already looked at everything and once getting the last piece it would be CASE COMPLETE...but NO!! they say the time starts again....so I am at week 5 now....

Anyone with any advise other than just sit and wait?

Hi. I just registered on this site. On June 30 I got an RFE (Police Certificate). The NVC automated recording says it was received on July 24, 2010. That's almost two weeks now. I spoke with someone at NVC yesterday and they said that there is an influx of applications this summer and that I may not hear a'CASE COMPLETED' until the usual 6-8wks because of the influx. Every morning I wake up at about 12:30 a.m. to check the NVC message. This is because the messages update at 12 midnight.
