If some idiot wants to deface the flag its not a personal insult.

So you wouldn't be offended if you saw some 22 stone woman wearing Def Leppard drummer, union jack shorts with swamp crotch at a Tesco?

post violating TOS has been removed.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Its not a touchy subject for me. I just don't think its very important.

Which is why i posted what I did. It is your right to believe as you do right or wrong.

As it is our right to believe differently but again it is typically a few dissidents full of ignorance wanting to make a statement in the wrong manner.

I think more people have misspelled "desecrate" than have spelt spelled it correctly. That means you Marc. Now, back on topic. If you define your patriotism by a flag, then you are a patriot in name only.

I probably was one that misspelled the word; I am horrible at spelling and grammar.

The Flag does not define patriotism alone but it is the symbol of that patriotism.

Burn a cross and what happens?

Desecrate the Star of David what happens?

Burn a copy of the Constitution what happens?

Show photographs US citizens (maybe a family you know) and burn them in public what happens?

All these things are symbols and may mean nothing to you but the fury it insights to those that utilize those symbols is justified.

It's not justified.

I don't know why the US allows extremists to drive its public discourses.

Speaking of patriotism. Can you speak of your most patriotic experience?

What kind of weirdo question is that?

It kind of sounds like a question to be asked of a Playmate in the aftermath of 9/11. Maybe he wants you to spell out your turn-ons and turn-offs, too.

What kind of weirdo question is that?

Obviously one you have not the ability to answer.

It kind of sounds like a question to be asked of a Playmate in the aftermath of 9/11. Maybe he wants you to spell out your turn-ons and turn-offs, too.

You must remember he only plays with himself.

Patriotic experience doesn't have to be taking action but the feeling of pride you would get from your country standing up for the rights of its citizens and freedoms with out defamation of the country.

Every person has their own level of patriotism if they have any towards their country and those same people have their triggers as to when to speak out or take action, the sideliners, bashers and commentators typically miss the boat in this; right or wrong it is what it is.
