hello everyone...my fiance just called the USEM to set me an appointment for the interview....the lady said they already got our paperworks from the NVC but cannot set us an appointment because of some technical problem, they said their system broke and told us to call again in few days.....waaaaaaaaaaa.......

ANYBODY has the same experience??????? Praying here that USEM will go back to normal SOON.

Good day!!..sorry to hear about that..just give a call the next day or two...they might have it back soon...btw, we don't have the same situation, we already have our interview date(coming)..just wondering when you said their systems broke...would that affect those appointment dates which were scheduled already or not??..or we should call to check too??...thanks for the infos...have a blessed day!!

Hi pooka..i guess it would not affect those who already had their interview dates...its only that they cannot set an interview now for some technical problems ...the costumer service rep told my fiancé to call again on thursday and she did gave the available slots too...but i guess we will not wait for that thursday lol...will call again tomorrow until they give us the appointment hahaha - being pushy huh...lol.....good luck to your interview and i pray that we can get ours too - we are on the finishing line and it seems longer when you see the line lol....

We do experience that last week...saying that we cannot set an appointment, and then my fiance called and he is the one who set an appointment for me for 18$ and got scheduled on Aug 16.

hi....congrats and good luck for your interview...just wanna know when did your fiance call the usem and got you an appointment? was it the next day after they said they cannot set your appointment or few days after? would u mind sharing?

I called the Embassy last night and had the same thing happen.

First use of PIN the operator picked up and hung up.

Second call was told they are updating their database and to call back end of the week. She could tell me though K1 Visa appointment should be between 17 and 26 August? Didn't refer to it as a systems technical problem though.

Kinda thought it was strange that the database is being updated. A few hours into a Monday morning beginning of the month when the website says their stuff is updated middle of the month--but yet she could tell when appointments are available. And what kind of database could they possibly be using that it takes days to update?

Maybe reading too much into it but what when the your being charged $18 through a Call Center it seems like a scam in itself. 1 hang-up, 1 sorry dbase is updating for a week--and don't know when it will be done, should I assume their will be another delay so that they can get another $18 out of me?

Wow can't imagine a US company having a dbase back up on a mid-Monday morning or even a technical problem that management would let employees tell customers to call back in 4 or 5 days. Someone would be joining the ranks of unemployed here thats for sure.

experience exactly the same as yours....and i do not understand why would they do that? usem system broke and cant be fixed in a day or two? impossible....this is us of a embassy..waaaaaaaaa.......what is goin' on????????

Its because it is a 'Call Center' contracted out to a Philippine run business.

today i tried to call the 909 number from here in the Philippines but i cannot access it....i called the us embassy immigration department and ask why i cannot access the 909 number for me to set an interview, the lady on the other line said i should call the 909 number via PLDT only...my question is why in the website it was said that u can call them via PLDT and SMART...why are the inconsistencies in their posts??????????

by the way greeny did the manila embassy send you notice that they already recieved your package? we recieve letter from nvc last july 31 but it was dated july 24 they said they will forward our case in the manila embassy..how long is the waiting till the manila embassy will notify u?
