Will Washington's Failures Lead To Second American Revolution?

So public financing of campaigns would be a good thing, no?

Severely limiting both campaign funds AND the length of time dedicated to an election campaign are both much needed reforms. However, that is not the point I was making - every person in the US who is a citizen or naturalized citizen who is also over 18 is eligible to, and can exercise their right to vote and there are candidates from at least two viable parties to vote for. More parties might be preferable to this polarizing two party system as well.

Lets go back and look at what you posted -

We went to war because a majority of people believed that Iraq had WMDs or very close to obtaining them.

Now had there been WMDs ignoring the situation would of been stupid. To say we destroyed it just because we didnt like it tells me you know very little about how it really went down. We thought we faced a major threat and considering 9/11 we knew we couldnt just do nothing.

Who misled the "majority" into believing that Mr. Peabody?

The Brits?

No, we all knew it was lies, hence why several senior cabinet ministers revolted over the issue and some resigned, well, little Robin Cook resigned which I thought was admirable, if futile.

That was the "official" story although that's not what really happened.

Hindsights 20/20 so whats your point? I dont get how this helps your argument or have you already accepted defeat.

Plenty of factors played into it but if you want to blame Bush for it all you go right ahead.

Clearly, it was the liberals who forced Bush and Cheney to lie about nuclear and chemical weapons in Iraq.

How do you know they lied?

It wasnt only our intelligence that we went on, that and the fact Saddam was trying to make us believe he had WMDs.

Yes, let's not forget the Democrats who saw the exact same intelligence report and agreed with that as well, only to flip-flop later.
