Hi,

I have interview tomorrow morning in London. My spouse has traveled from US to come here and be with me. Is it possible for him to join me during my visit to embassy for interview?

Interview is for: IR1/CR1 immigration visa for US Citizen Spouse.

Thank you

- J

It should be fine. Make sure he brings his US passport with him or he will definitely not be allowed entry. In the 3+ years I've been on VJ, I've seen a USC spouse/fiance be denied entry once, and there did not seem to be any particular reason for that.

I have read that yes you can have a spouse or fiance be there with you at your interview in London. I wonder if you can go to the embassy site and check for sure?

Good luck at your interview!

For the record, I the USC attended the interview without prior approval from the embassy. At the head of the line, where the appointment letter is shown, I gave the guy my (opened) US passport and asked if I could go in with my fiance. He stared at the photo a long time, said "your hair looks better now", and waved me on to the security booth.
