Thanks in advance for any help. I just found out that the only way I can get a record of my calls on my ATT prepaid calling card is with a subpoena. I need the phone records of the numbers called for documentation of my relationship. Can any of you recommend any cards with that available? And hopefully, with decent rates?

Of course, I'm calling the Philippines.

Of course, I'm calling the Philippines.

If you have a smart phone you can download Vonage Moible which is .14 per min to cell phone and it will record your the number and the min you use to call per month and you can go to web site and print the phone record. I had ATT internationl for a while till the raise the price per min from .06 min to .21 min so I figure to do the Vonage Moible and was able to print out the call logs for the month.

I have had good rates from phonecardsonnet.com. I usually buy the $5 or $6 cards to call. You will get around 40 minutes from each card. If you try using the card for more than one call the minutes are reduced even though it claims no connection fee.

I use Rebel also. In fact I think you might have hooked me up originally Scott and Mhay. Have a plug in on my iphone and it works like a charm.

I am going to give http://www.pinoytawagunlimited.com/ a try. Basically they send your relative a SIM card so that their number in the Philippines connects to local US number for you. It is $40/month with 6 month contract and $45.00/month if you pay month to month. They say unlimited use but they have a fair use clause which says 5000 minutes/month. I am spending way more than the $45.00/month so it will be great if it works. I will post once I see how it works.

But sometimes you really need to call a cp because the other party is not neat the pc. I have an ITOUCH and I downloaded skype to call her. In fact, when i went to the philippines, i brought my itouch and was calling my family back to the states for almost nothing. All I needed was to find a wifi hotspot. The hotel and resort both had wifi so that was not a major issue.

Just to bring everyone BACK to the ORIGINAL point of this topic: I need DOCUMENTATION of a relationship. I don't have a smart phone phone so Vonage Mobile is useless. Itouch? Skype? Come on, if I can't call her on my phone, or especially my cell phone and have a record of calling HER NUMBER, your suggestions are *#@+%! So back to my ORIGINAL request for those who can stay on track; A CALLING CARD THAT CAN ALSO PROVIDE A RECORD OF CALLS TO HER NUMBER! (And hopefully decent rates and call quality.) By the way to those who posted about rebtel.com and phonecardsonnet.com, I will check them out. Thanks.

i use to use this N.E.T.

i think for new customers the per minute rate for manila landline is 13 cents per minute with a minimum of $20 reloads when your credits run out. if you sign up using this service, you can login to your account and check usage. it will list the numbers you called using this service and for how long you talked with that person at that number and how much they charged your loaded credit.

i now use BayanTel. they have a spin off of their family ties program (which they call "half family ties"). since my wife already uses bayantel all they needed to set up was a local access number for me to dial here in the U.S. and it's $25 one to sawa talking (really unlimited). but it's locked in to the 1 bayantel number you're gonna call. i tried to check my account if i can view usage...but all i can do is pay the monthly bill on it. but let me contact them to see if there's a way to obtain calling records from my account. will let you know.

ok...i contacted BTI America (Bayan Telecom Inc America). rep confirmed that if you have a Bayan Family Ties Halfway Service account, they can provide certification letter and activity records regarding your calls. Given that you submit a written request. i grilled the rep and asked if the activity record will have the number called and dates/time. he answered in the affirmative. but he said that he doesn't exactly know what information will be on the Customer Record, but it will have the number and dates.

Again, if you decide to go with this family ties halfway service account, and your soulmate in the Philippines does not have a bayantel line already, they'll set up your account and give him/her a bayantel phone for $30/month (including the bayantel monthly service in the Philippines). if he/she already have a bayantel phone, it'll be $25/mo. unfortunately, bayantel services are only available in the NCR...so hopefully he/she's in metro manila.
