Hello Every one,

My mom will be filling for my brother, he is 17 years old now. I just want to confirm with you all.

ONCE my Mom files for my brother, he will be able to come to the USA in about 2 years, according Visa Bulleti?

His category will be F2A?

That would be based on the current visa bulletin, but it is subject to change (could be longer, could be shorter)

YMMV

ditto, the bulletin is always changing. it used to take more than 4 years, I'm glad that at least for some categories the wait has been reduced a lot.

Thanks for reply.

I just want to confirm with you guys....

1: My brother will be under F2A? correct?

2: According Visa bulletin 2A 01JUL08 ? correct?

1) Is mom a USC or resident?

2) If F2A the date could depend on the country of residence. August visa bulletin has a priority date listed as Mar 09 for F2A for all chargeable area except DR & Mexico

YMMV

My Mom is resident and we are from Pakistan. So I guess will take about 1 1/2 to 2 years accroding August visa bulletin, if she file now. Glad to see this will not take much long....

Hello everyone,

I just want to get an idea, what is approx approvel time for F2A (I130?

Thanks...

a few months but it does not really matter... as even if the I-130 is approved tomorrow then you still have a wait for a visa number... the priority date is established at the time of I-130 filing, not approval

YMMV

Thanks for your reply. I understand after approvel we have to wait untill visa become available. Anyway now only taking about 1 1/2 year...
