K-2 visa for fiance's son

Our backlogged I-601 waiver for my fiance's visa has just been approved. I know that my fiance will need to go and have another medical and the open appointment interview in CDJ, MX, but what about her son (15) who I included on the application and that we intend on having join her when she enters? He went with my fiance to the first visa interview and had his medical done back in May 2009. Will he need to go for another medical and to the open appointment if we intend for him to join my fiance when she enters on her fiance visa? If he intends to follow her later on, within a year, will he need to return to CDJ for a visa interview or can he go to another consulate in MX?

The medical expires in 1 year for any type of visa. Her son will need another medical.

As far as I know, Juarez is the only consulate in Mexico that handles K visas of any sort.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

Typically for consulate purposes the medical is valid for 6 mos.

CDJ is the only consulate in Mexico that issues these visas

YMMV
