hello.

are you from Czech republic also???

if you get your u.s citizenship while married to a U.S citizen you get to keep your czech citizenship. so you are gonna have czech and u.s citizenship. if you get your u.s citizenship and you are not married to a u.s citizen at that time, unfortunatelly you will lose your czech citizenship. at least that is what i was told by the czech embassy in washington d.c.

Thank you for your quick response. I'm not from CZ, but my fiancee is, and she was wondering about that citizenship issue.

Thanks again and take pictures at your Citizenship ceremony

hello.

if i could not have a dual citizenship i would probably never tried to get a u.s citizenship. because, i am czech and all my family lives in czech, i do go back home a lot and i just would not want to lose my czech citizenship. i am very grateful for the fact that i can have both. it is a blessing.

anyway, i wish your girlfriend a lot of luck with all the paperwork and the whole process of becoming a u.s citizen.

since your girlfriend is from czech, tell her i wish her: "hodne stesti" {that is how we say "good luck" in our language} :)
