No I checked for the Wedding License requirement in CT and all she needs is her passport and SS Card, and for her SS Card all she needs is her passport and I94. Thanks Sus, I will contact her.

Does she have a copy she can have sent from Jamaica? She didn't bring her birth certificate

with her? It's not a copy of the one you sent, but at least it's a copy.

Honestly I dont believe she does, we were planning on getting a copy of it but just totally forgot. Worst case scenario I believe we can order one and have it sent to us in the US. I laugh cause a copy would have cost only 50 cents, now its gonna cost 85 dollars. Im gonna talk to her when I get home see what she says.

I would suggest not ordering it online with the RGD. We did that and it took 3 months and many many many phone calls and visits to the RGD office. Oh, and did I forget to mention that was the expedited service???

You can call USCIS @ 1800-375-5283 and make a request for them to return the original copy. I'm not sure what the procedure is, but you should give them a call.

Matt when she applied for her BC they give you two originals. My hubby gave the embassy one

but forgot the other one in JA and we sent for it.

I started to panick saying that I did not make a copy but he told me not to worry the give you two.

Hey Matt,

Did you file out the form for them to sent you the original documents or did you send for the BC? I am trying to figure out what to do in my fiance's case. I think his visa is ready, but he will call them DHL to confirm. I am having him look about his BC and son's while he is still there and have a relative post it to us here.

Hey whats up. I eneded up filing the G-884 (return of original documents). I provided copies of all her documents and the NOA2 fromt he 129F to show she is truely the person requested the BC. However, it also asks for a copy of the birth certificate, I explained to them why we do not have a copy. God, if we did I wouldnt even be trying to get the original. If they don't return the original because we did not have a copy, then I guess I have no choice but to wait and apply for another BC from Jamaica. My AOS will be filed late but atleast I have a paper trail as to why we filed the AOS late.

I don't believe they do unless you request them back. You can do this by filing a G-884.
