Hi, VJers,

Have a question about bringing mom of USC.

It's a long story but let me try to make it short.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My hubby (USC) is trying to bring his mom. His step younger brother also here in US granted asylum. When my hubby apply for obtaining his status, he put his step younger bro's DOB 05/01/1980 but when his step younger brother apply for him, his bro put his DOB 05/11/1978 on their background explain sheets.

My hubby is filling out a form I-130 for his mom. There is a question #C which is asking of all children info including DOB.

My thought is toward to put on 05/01/1980 because my hubby is the petitioner so I think my hubby should stick to what he said in the past.

What you guys think? Anyone has a similar experience?

Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Easy

Put down the truth.

Thanks for ur comment.

What my hubby put is the correct one. His bro put that DOB for getting his travel document when he apply. We don't want to hurt his work. That's why my bubby got confused. If, what if, they look up his bro's file, they will see the different DOB. They didn't use lunar calendar 'cause they have their own calendar in their culture that's why his bro had confusion.

Again, thank you for ur opinion.
