I just saw her on the news in an interview.. what a cutie... this is so ridiculous... we can neither confirm nor deny that her name is on a list or that a list exists... :bonk:

Today, we mourn the passing of an old friend by the name of Common Sense.

Common Sense lived a long life, but died from heart failure. No one really knows how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He selflessly devoted his life to service in schools; hospitals, homes, factories and offices, helping folks get jobs done without fanfare and foolishness.

For decades, petty rules, silly laws and frivolous lawsuits held no power over Common Sense. He was credited with cultivating such valued lessons as to know when to come in from rain, the early bird gets the worm and life isn't always fair.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn), reliable parenting strategies (the adults are in charge, not the kids), and it's okay to come in second.

A veteran of the Industrial Revolution, the Great Depression, and the Technological Revolution, Common Sense survived cultural and educational trends including feminism, body piercing, whole language and new math.

But his health declined when he became infected with the "if-it-only-helps-one-person-it's-worth-it" virus. In recent decades, his waning strength proved no match for the ravages of overbearing federal legislation.

He watched in pain as good people became ruled by self-seeking lawyers and enlightened auditors. His health rapidly deteriorated when schools endlessly implemented zero tolerance policies; when reports were heard of six year old boys charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; when a teen was suspended for taking a swig of mouthwash after lunch; when a teacher was fired for reprimanding an unruly student. It declined even further when schools had to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student but couldn't inform the parent when a female student is pregnant or wants an abortion.

As the end neared, Common Sense drifted in and out of logic but was kept informed of developments, regarding questionable regulations for asbestos, low-flow toilets, smart guns, the nurturing of Prohibition Laws and mandatory air bags.

Finally, when told that the homeowners association restricted exterior furniture only to that which enhanced property values, he breathed his last.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son Reason. His three stepbrothers survive him: Rights, Tolerance and Whiner.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

An Ohio family recently learned their 6-year-old daughter was on the Department of Homeland Security's 'no-fly' list, Fox8.com reported.

Osama Bin Laden, 6, was traveling with her parents when a ticket agent notified the family she was on the list of restricted fliers.

"We were, like, puzzled," said her father, Dr. Santhosh Thomas. "I'm like, well, she's kinda six-years-old and this is not something that should be typical."

When the family tried to clear up the issue with Homeland Security, they received a letter notifying them that it could not be changed.

"She's been flying since she was two-months old, so that has not been an issue," said Dr. Thomas. "In fact, we had traveled to Mexico in February and there were no issues at that time."

Transportation Security Administration told Fox8.com that Osama never had any problems before because the "Secure Flight Program" just went into effect in June for all domestic flights.

"The watch lists are an important layer of security to prevent individuals with known or suspected ties to terrorism from flying," a TSA spokesman told Fox8.com.

The Thomas family plans to make another appeal to Homeland Security.

I guess her dad's brilliant idea of naming his daughter after Osama Bin Laden was not so humorous in hind sight.

I have someone the works for me names Micheal Sean Kelly.

He is on a resitricted fly list.

The only time he gets a non center seat is on express flights and Southwest (if he gets an A line or B line ticket)

Names can cause weird things to happen.

Our hard-earned tax Dollars at work.

I would feel as safe, safer, actually, if they would remove all the scanners and all the obese no-good TSA agents from the airports, if they'd stop the shoes-off nonsense and the no waterbottles at boarding policies.

What really would me make feels safer, and better, is if the US would stop sending my tax Dollars to ISRAEL and would stop spending my tax Dollars on bombing the sh*t out other nations somewhere around the globe.

If we stop f*cking with them, they really won't have any reason to #### with us.

I had a dream. I dreamt that one day the US will be a peaceful nation and the $1,000,000,000,000.00 we so far spent on the war in Afghanistan would have been used to help the American people, built schools, hospitals, streets, create jobs and a healthcare system that actually works.

Is that a ridiculous dream or what?

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

President Teddy Roosevelt on Columbus Day 1915

Well, you also had a dream that one day you would be legal here, so I suppose anything's possible.

The No-Fly list is a very preliminary steps in stopping dangerous individual from flying on a plane. It's suppose to be a catch-all thing. The only intelligence in this is name matching. And since hundreds of thousands of people share a common name, it's only sensible that a child is going to end up on this list sooner or later. Just as long as they have a way to verify that a 6 years old, is in fact, not a terrorist capable of downing a plane, it shouldn't be a issue.

Or maybe TSA thinks a 6 years old crying for 12 hours in a row is terrorising other passengers.
