DS230 before I864

Is it a problem if the DS230 is sent in before the I864? I sent in the DS230 package and completely forgot that I had to send in the I864. The DS230 was received by NVC a little more than a week ago and the I864 should get there before this weekend.

Or are they completely separate from each other? I mean, could they send out the package to the embassy before receiving the I864 package?

What's the turnaround time at NVC for an IR-1?

Just starting the journey, haven't yet filed... Until today(2/12/07)!

6/9/08 - RFE received at CSC (according to USPS)

6/16/08 - RFE received at CSC (according to USCIS)

6/24/08 - Approval email & Welcome letter in mail

Sending them in seperate is fine. Not sure what the time frame is at the moment for the entire NVC process. Ours took 6 weeks, but there was a 2 week period that we were waiting on corrected police certs. Average was about 30 - 40 days, I think. The wait for the interview will depend on how busy your embassy is.

ya, is OK to send them 'out of order' as long as the proper coversheet is on top, and the address (in the coversheet) is used.
