Hi...I don't know where to post this question?

Does anyone know the procedures about moving the foreign fiance or spouse's belongings to the US?

To be specific...if their belongings are shipped via air, must we pay any kind of fee to immigration at the airport POE..or tax? and will the boxes be inspected individually - just like the luggage? do we have to wait several days to get them...or must we pick it up immediately upon arrival at the airport?

we are confused about some services that are provided in France (french companies) and what situations might not be mentioned upon arrival in the US.

Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

It wouldn't be any different than shipping anything else to/from France I wouldn't think. A ton of my stuff was shipped to me via air mail from Kenya when I was evacuated and it was just delivered to my parents' house - no inspection, I didn't have to pick it up at the airport and I didn't have to pay anything. Just have it shipped to your fiance's house.
