Did any of you get an RFE for the passport style photos? I got my picture taken today. The picture is 51 x 51 mm as required. But my head meassures 39mm, instead of 25 - 35. And the distance from bottom to eyelevel is only 26mm instead of 28 - 35. Could this be a problem? Should i get new photos taken? It's only a few mm off afterall, but I don't wanna risk an RFE because of this. Any experiences?

Hi..

My head also measured more than 35 mm, it measured 40 mm actually. Everything was ok, no RFE. Don't worry about few mm's. I really don't think it will be a problem. At least I didn't have one.

Good luck.

Wow, your the first person I can recollect explaining in such detail the measurement of the photograph! My gut tells me that they are fine. Most people look at the background and that the photo meets the general criteria of the "standard".

Something tells me that you are particularly attentive to fine detail and may loose xcessive sleep over this. You, for your own peace of mind may want to get new photos taken.

However, if in the next set, your head is to small and your eyes are to high, you will be in the same predicament and at risk of a nervous breakdown!

As for me, I think I would send the photos you have and forget about it.

I apologize in advance for my poor attempt at humor, I know you are taking this very seriously.

My fiance sent me an Indian photo size which measures 35mmx35mm and our petition was approved. We had the back-up just in case we received a RFE. If we got approved with our measures, I believe you will be fine. hehe
