Plan and do GENERATE various evidence that will assist you in your proof, EVEN IF YOU FEEL YOU DON"T NEED TO DO IT.

Mail some love letters to each other. Send some emails. Send some gifts. Do various things that reflect your love and committment and that will prove to a stranger that you really have a real relationship.

All of this evidence, when put together, should "tell your story". If you fail to tell a story, you could be denied. The ball is in your court and the onus is on you to provide proof.

Ditto!

I also suggest taking pictures with your family when he comes visit if that's possible. It's always good to see family members involved and aware of the relationship. It will also help later on for AOS.

Oh, and keep proof of your trip there, like boarding passes, hotel reservations, stuff like that is good as well. Even better if you both traveled somewhere together (my now husband and I traveled around Europe a lot when he came visit) and still have proof of it.

Okay, wow, good thing you mentioned you wife/husband thing! We often call each other wifey and hubby. :P

And the chat logs are unnesscary? I understand it's not really needed for the 1-129f petition, but I read on the RFE thread (or it may have been another thread) you won't be able to introduce new evidence later (for the interview), possibly. We don't have any msn convos saved from the beginning (I am saving them now, though, as we've been talking more on msn of late because of his work) and I'm using the chat logs to help establish we had a relationship and that it is still ongoing.

I'm just so worried we'll get someone who looks at it goes, "If you don't have enough for a novel, I'm not convinced!" :P

I've been reading up on a lot of the pinned threads and other people's threads, but there seems to be conflicting advice here and there regarding "front loading", I think it's called?

And jups, I plan on taking a lot of pictures, especially with the family :) I'm a bit of a pack rat when it comes to receipts, so I'll be sure to hold onto those.

There is always debate about 'front loading'. I'm personally not a fan of it - I think a happy medium on the petition side is logical and adequate. I've not heard that one about not being able to present new evidence at the consular interview - in fact, that seems highly illogical to me, esp. as time will have passed between the I 129f submission and interview - sometimes, a significant amount of time.

That is incorrect, you should bring even more evidence to the interview. You should bring the evidence you sent in the petition as well.

I guess it may have been for the so-called "#######" consulates for excessive frontloading.

(Mods : I apologize for resurrecting a month-old thread, but I came to this thread from another thread in VJ.)

The Skype call exporter link mentioned a few posts back is no longer valid, and a new link is at

http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=87531

I only had one minor problem - it loaded but didn't seem to run, and that was because I was on a Skype call with Merete at the time. That was solved by doing the following :

1. Hang up the current call

2. Start Skype

3. Start the program

In less than a minute it was done. Worked like a charm.
