You're in for what could be a long wait. Mine was over 100 days. That's just how this process is -- full of waiting.

What you can do, though, is to get ready for the next step. Check out the Guides and the LingChe wiki. Get your documents in order. Start thinking of what your "red flags" are and how to minimize them. Start working on gathering and organizing your evidence for the interview.

Calling USCIS will result in them telling you to wait until your case is out of normal processing time, about 5 months. Calling NVC will result in them telling you they know nothing about your case because is it still with USCIS.

I know it can be difficult, but try to find other things to do. Good luck!

USCIS : 104 Days

10-30-2009 : I-130 and Documents Sent

03-02-2010 : Received DS-3032 and AOS Bill

03-02-2010 : DS-3032 Accepted

03-02-2010 : Pay AOS and IV Bill Online

03-04-2010 : AOS Shows PAID

03-08-2010 : IV Bill Shows PAID

YER NOA-1 date is 2010-03-25

Be prepared to wait 150 to 180 days.

If you get approval sooner than that, it's a blessing.

According to the USCIS time-line for I-130 filers at the California Service Center the waiting period is 5 months. If you haven't heard anything after that time has passed then you can call the USCIS for an update. In the meantime, you just have to find a way to chill. As others have already commented, some get the NOA2 sooner than the time-line - but, it is best to not think about the exceptions - you will just go crazy. Good luck to us all!

Staying strong and patient in love and faith!

It's been 42 days and you are worried you didn't get your NOA2? I must laugh. Because only rarely people get their NOA2 in 1.5 months. Wait, 5 months and then worry. For now, just hang tight.
