Well, let's see here. So, my son was born in Honduras on March 12th, and I went down a week later to file a report of birth abroad at the "sister" consulate in San Pedro Sula. We actually had to go twice to the consulate, which each instance taking a whole day of traveling, because we didn't have a long form birth certificate for him the first time. Well, after all that, I didn't hear anything for a few weeks, which I was supposed to. I finally called the main embassy in the capital Tegucigalpa and I guess they wanted my wife to come down there for another interview!!! OMG!!! So, she went to the REALLY FAR embassy for the interview today and my son passed, he said goo-goo ga-ga perfectly and they gave him his rights to US citizenship and he will receive his FS-240 and passport in a few weeks! What a nightmare, but finally one of them is done. She should be here hopefully in a month or two.
