Hello every one,

My case is complete and just waiting for medical exam and appoinment interview. About 20 years ago I got minimal TB. It is not active anymore, but everytime I got chest xray the scar always show up. I am just worried when I take my medical exam at St Luke, I will got problem on my chest xray. My question is, do I need to bring an old xray film for comparison and told the doctor about it? Any advice or input will be highly appreciated.

Yes I would bring the xray and any proof of treatment you had. You will probably still have to do the sputnum test though either way for them to verify. It seems that even if SLMEC is wrong it doesnt matter and their decision cant be overturned by another hospital since they are the approving authority for medicals.

I agree with Scott.

SLEC will x-ray you and, if they find anything suspicious on their x-ray, you will be required to undergo a two-month TB culture. You should get your medical done as soon as possible in case you have to undergo the two-month TB culture.

You can always bring your old clear chest x-ray for comparison, but, be aware that if St. Luke's find something suspicious on your lungs, they will automatically put you in a 3-day sputum test and 2 months culture, regardless.

Just pray....

Good Luck!
