You're actually supposed to include the immigrant. The table is designed to show what the guideline is for when she is here, and that you make over that amount once she gets here. Make sense?

To meet the NVC or consulate requirements as far as meeting the poverty guidelines are concerned, you need to include her. They want to know that you make enough to support her once she's here along with any other responsibilities you might have

They are going to look at your tax return to compare. You should list anyone who is on your MOST recent tax return.

well if the poverty guideline was going at 100% I would make it but now that they are going at %125 which they didnt do in the past years, Im going to need a sponsor and do a I-864, is that something that they still accept ? I know they did a few years ago but the rules are always changing so does anyone know if a sponsor is still accepted ?

Yes, you can use a co-sponsor. Download the I-864 and instructions from the USCIS website (so they are the most current)and go over those instructions . Good luck Teamster - I was one for 16 years till I was laid off this past year.

Local 631 Las Vegas, Show Steward, I do work for the Conventions here, been really affected by the economy and lost alot of hours ever since Pres. Obama said on national TV to not come to Vegas, so i've been laid off and on, the worst year so far. I wonder since I am on unemployment every now and then if it will affect the decision on my fiancees approval. Anyways brother we are all going to get thru this no matter what, time is the enemy here.

YRC? The change of operations got me :( Yeh, tough times but hopefully it will all turn around. As long as you can get a co-sponsor (if you don't meet the guidelines) you should be fine. Just make sure to cross all the t's and dot every I..you'll make it.
