I've managed to dig up an 'emergency' CSC phone number that appears to be genuine. Does anyone else have experience calling this number? I'm a bit reluctant to post it here because I don't know what constitutes an emergency and I wouldn't want to abuse the number's intent. The after-hours message says that a USCIS agent will return all emergency phone calls...

Curious, no? It might be worth it for the few people who have been petitioning since before March and have seemingly been forgotten. What's say y'all?

I'll PM the number out to someone who's had their petition recalled or who petitioned before March. They can call and we'll see what happens. Eh? I would call myself but I honestly don't think my case is an emergency juuuuust yet.

I'm a recall with a March 6 NOA1, March 31 NOA2. My NOA2 approval expired July 31, and I got totally unsatisfactory email responses from McClellan at CSC and NVC about what effect the expiration has on my case. Receipt of my IMBRA RFE was acknowledged by email July 11. My fiance is desperate as he has lost his job, and his mother is very ill in a third country. He has been holding off going to see his mother until this visa thing gets sorted out, but we're beginning to think there is no end to this delay. It is almost 90 days since he returned his instruction pkt. to the embassy in Paris on May 5, and then the petition was recalled due to IMBRA. If there is any way I can actually talk to someone at CSC with real knowledge of the status of my case, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!

LIVID doesn't begin to describe my current state of mind. Thanks so much to onyxrev for the CSC number. I just called, and got a message that all officers were currently busy with other emergency calls. They asked for a message as to the nature of the emergency, which I left, and said that all emergency calls would receive a return call. Unfortunately, their hours are until only 3:30 pm. I am in the same time zone, so that gives them about 30 minutes to call me back. I'm holding my breath until them. Getting blue, bluer, bluer, bluer...

You are most deserving of fast attention. I always say Embassy recalls first.

Did I read that correctly, CSC shuts down at 3:30 local time?

That's what the man on the recorded message said. I don't know if that is for the whole office, or just the division that fields emergency calls. If it's the whole office that would explain a few things, n'est-ce-pas? Probably got their funding cut by the feds. It's become quite clear that USCIS is not a priority agency. Especially since it's under the umbrella of Dept. of Homeland Security, along with FEMA, etc. Just look at how they handled Katrina. People are still living in dinky trailers lined up like in concentration camps. That said, I really hope they are working full days. I was thinking that with the Saturday emails and such, maybe they were working overtime to catch up. But it's probably just an automated system timed to send stuff out whenever they set it. Still waiting for the return call...
