confused about the IV bill....

So I received the payment request from then NVC and paid it, but does my husband (the principle applicant) have to pay another $355 for the IV bill? Didn't I already pay that for the petition? Someone help me please!!

Start reading up for NVC if you haven't already.

It is definitely an expensive process, no matter what route you take. Don't forget the $ for the medical as well!

OK to answer your question...No your husband doesn't pay anything. The bill you received from the NVC for the IV bill is the last payment towards your visa. When he goes to the interview, he won't have to pay anything. The only other expense (as mentioned before) is the medical exam, which is less than $150 USD. So as far as the visa is concerned you are done.

Filing I-130 (USCIS)-$355.00

AOS (NVC)-$70.00

IV Bill (NVC)-$400.00

Medical Exam (Approximately)-$150.00 (Paid directly to the clinic)

Done!
