I'm confused about the requirements of ROM. The LA Consulate website has consular forms section. However, the checklist are not the same as what's written on their Procedures and Requirements for ROM...Which do you follow? And btw, their form is too old, says last revision is Oct 2004? Ah well..

Reunited for good and it feels so good!

I followed the requirements/procedure portion but you also have to check the provided list of requirements so you won't miss anything and also send copy of your Green Card or Proof of your immigration status here in US. Agree that the forms needs some upgrade. It won't happen anytime soon I guess. Good luck.

Your wife will need this when she renews her Phil.passport and/or when she decides to have dual citizenship.

Hi...we live in San Diego, and come under the LA Consulate. If you go to their website you will see they have an out-reach program for renewing Passports and Reporting Marriage. I noticed they have a session scheduled for June 19 and 20. We used their same services here in San Diego. It is not that bad, actually just have to have forms required. First FAX them to the Embassy, they will then put your name on the appointment on their website. If you lack some thing they will post what form it is. Then at the time of your appointment, actually get there just a little sooner, show up with all the original docs, and for the ROM, have 4 copies of each required doc. They aren't going to make copies, ha ha ha. Also, the husband will also have to provide 4 passport type pictures for them, but they have to be with a blue background. They will have some one there to take them for you if needed, but be ready to pay $20 for you and $20 for your wife's pictures. But since we had all the copies we were able to do the ROM and the Passport renewal with her married name. Rather painless, and I was so happy we didn't have to travel to LA to complete this, so check it out, on the Consulate website, out-reach program, Las Vegas.

LOVE of a LIFETIME

Reporting of marriage is not mandatory. You are only required to submit ROM when you want to use your husband's last name but it's a good thing to do I believe so the marriage will be recorded in Philippines.

CENOMAR is for K1 applicants and you're already married so there's no point of applying for it. Since you have full custody of your daughter it should be easy for her to follow you here in US and when you apply for Citizenship in the future, she will benefit from it and acquire citizenship as well (before child turns 18)

Good luck.

It is my understanding that you can do both in one day...report your marriage and amend your passport. However, I realize that you won't get your amended passport back that same day. Does it take the Consulate four to six weeks to return the amended passport?

your consulate will be San Francisco http://www.philippineconsulate-sf.org/index_english.htm just read the website

Not sure if I am missing something, but your link above actually redirects to: http://philippines.visahq.com/, and I can't see anything on the site about reporting a marriage?
