Hi.. surely, those approved as of date were the ones who sent back their RFE replies immediately and acknowledged by USCIS (between 6/23-7/08) and yes, ahead than ours..."i see some stick-on papers with numbers as they come." ..however, will the dates for the interview schedule be based on the NOA1 received/receipt date??? Did somebody already get his post-IMBRA NOA2 by snail mail? If so, what is the date written on your priority date on NOA2? Is it the received/receipt date (not the notice date) on your NOA1?

Praying for speedy approval of all who are patiently, some  and :( waiting. Give us more strength, Lord.

Congratulations to those with NOA2s and more power to your journey!

... what is the date written on your priority date on NOA2?

That field on my "snail mail" form is blank.

By the way... my NOA2 hit me quickly. It was like I was getting absolutely no activity on my application and then I was touched and approved all in one day. Best of luck to y'all for getting it soon.

jo&john - The Embassy's process cases on a first come first serve basis and the NOA1 date plays no part. Unfortunately for all those poor souls put on the backburner due to the IMBRA compliance, there is no retribution for the delay, no apologies, and no compensation for your dispair, pain, and frustration. A public apology would have been nice, at least do something. By the by, are K1 petitions issued a priority date? My gut feeling tells me no, but I really have no clue. Looks like we need to do some research.

I am not aware of any priority dates with a K1 - these are usually in reference to a different type of petition and visa. Since each consulate operates differently in regard to K1 interviews and procedures, a priority date would not come into play. For example, in Mexico K1 interviews are never scheduled. They are based on when the NVC sends the approved petition to the consulate in Mexico, when the consulate sends out packet 3, and when the beneficiary has all of the required documentation. Other consulates require the interviewee to wait until a date is assigned. So a priority date assigned in the US would have no bearing on the consulate's actions. Would have been nice if IMBRA-affected petitions had priority at the NVC, but since it seems this part is the fastest of anything, it probably wouldn't have any impact.
