Ghanaian Embassy: Packet 3 and interview date?

Hey everybody in the African Forum!

We just the approval for the 129f today!!

For those of you that have any knowledge about the Ghanaian embassy, could you please tell me if my husband will have to go back to Ghana and schedule and pick up his packet 3 and schedule an interview date or will they mail him this information? I know in nigeria a person can go down there and take care of all this....

My husband is abroad in Cyprus sorry now he is in Greece... we are just wondering what the best way is to handle this to ensure a smooth process...

Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Fastest is for him to go to the consulate and pick it up. He would need to have a copy of the approved petition notice.

If he is out of country, I'm not sure what to tell you. They'll supposedly send it to the address that you have listed in your application.

05-15-06 - Green card received!! Woo-hoo!!!

Congratulations on your approval!!! Please could you tell me if you were touched b/4 approval? I was touched on friday and today. As for your question, i think your husbands relatives can help him pick it up. I know my sister helped my Brother picked up his visa b/4. Good luck !!!

07/22/05 K-3 leaves NVC to Lagos

08/08/05 Hubby picks up interview packet from embassy

11/17/05 K-3 interview (denied, C.O refused to take co-sponsor for k-3)

12/16/05 I-130 NOA2

01/03/06 NVC assigns case number

02/15/06 Case complete (thank you James Shortcuts- only 6 weeks!)

04/19/06 tired of waiting, filed k-3 #2 ( petition is still lost in oblivion)

09/11/06 NVC scheduled CR-1 interview/ on to Lagos (thank God after 7 months of waiting!)

10/14/06 Interview date (success!)

10/18/06 Hubby goes to pick up visa- not ready ( ugh what's going on!)

10/19/06 Visa in hand ( thank you God!)

10/29/06 Together at last :)

Whole process 1 year and 4 months

Someone on here had a relative pick up the packet. but, that may have been in Nigeria. It has been a while back, so I don't remember the details. They will send it to the address he put, but that can take a while. congrats on the approval. Good luck.
