Yeah but even then, if you're having sex you should always know there's a chance - even if it's just small - that you could get pregnant. People just don't want to assume responsibility for their actions.

I can agree that sometimes people do things without thinking about consequences but I don't think there is any point in condeming a woman to a pregnancy she doesn't want just for the sake of punishing her. I would think that since abortion is not what this pill is achieving, by at least doing something, albeit later than usually desired, that the woman IS being responsible. She's not bringing a child into this world that she may not be ready emotionally, financially, or even physically to handle. This to me is a very grey area, not one where a woman should just be judged and told sorry, you "did the crime, now you have to do the time", so to speak. My opinion.

I'm not trying to judge you and tell you you're a bad person. If you want to take the MA pill, it's your life. I just personally don't like it (the pill). I actually don't even like birth control pills anymore for non-religious reasons such as they completely screw with your hormones, but also just because they aren't natural, tricking your body into thinking it's pregnant every month.

I guess the idea is if you get that 1st kid before you're "ready". My opinion, if my wife gets pregnant even when we're not ready, we'll have to figure out how to be ready... no abortions, no plan b's. Wife agrees. But different strokes for different folks, so making the option available is important.

My opinion, if my wife gets pregnant even when we're not ready, we'll have to figure out how to be ready... no abortions, no plan b's. Wife agrees. But different strokes for different folks, so making the option available is important.

some places actually won't do it if they think you are too young and haven't had any kids... because they think people might change their mind and then want it undone...

I'm talking about vasectomy when you have a family and 'are done' having kids.. if u dont wanna have kids doesn't mean u dont wanna have more sex.. and I think vasectomy is the easiest way for both, rather than pills or other stuff.. if you dont wanna have more kids.. and i.e., I only wanna have 2 kids.. so, after that I'm planning getting that..

If someone could buy it over the counter for a minor, they could do the same with a prescription.

I don't think this is a good idea. What prevents an older friend from buying it for a minor? I agree that a prescription is easy enough to get.

Yeah, I guess so. It just seems like it's making it even easier for minors. I suppose many would argue that that's a good thing.

I suspect you'll find there's not a whole lot of people who rely on the morning after pill as a primary contraceptive. It's used on an emergency basis, and it's expensive. I seriously doubt there's a minor out there thinking, oh good, now I can just have sex and use that every time. That's entirely and untterly unpractical.

If it's 89% effective, and they do it enough times..... they'll eventually end up preggers anyways.. lol
