As for birth control pills, many countries allow women to buy them over the counter as well.

True. Which is why I think in this case, the U.S. has put the cart before the horse.

but there are many married people that don't want/don't need to have any children. Accidents could happen with them as well...

Yeah but even then, if you're having sex you should always know there's a chance - even if it's just small - that you could get pregnant. People just don't want to assume responsibility for their actions.

Hey, that's my line! I don't think in this case, that's a fair statement though. I have described my situation above. What is your solution to the issue of we can't have a baby yet? Am I to not be with my husband when I go to visit him because we run the risk of pregnancy? Because, as we all know, the safest sex is amnesty, right? No chance of getting pregnant then. I think that's asking a bit much. I would hate to think that me being extra careful and taking the morning after pill after getting back from Mexico because I missed a night or two of birth control IS being responsible for my actions. Rather than just waiting and seeing and ending up with a baby I can't take care of...because, as I said before, I will not have an abortion, no matter what the circumstances.

I'm not trying to judge you and tell you you're a bad person. If you want to take the MA pill, it's your life. I just personally don't like it (the pill). I actually don't even like birth control pills anymore for non-religious reasons such as they completely screw with your hormones, but also just because they aren't natural, tricking your body into thinking it's pregnant every month.

Anyway, what was my point again...?
