Paystubs with I-864?

I am wondering if it is required to have paystubs to go along with the I-864. The problem is the embassy kept all the paystubs that I sent my fiance and I only have 1 or 2 paystubs to give since then. I have my 2008 tax return papers and employment/salary verification letter as well.

Yes, send as much proof as you can aside from the 1040s, W-2s, letter of employment, etc.

Did you mean that you have sent Jakriss original pay stubs which in turn she gave to the Consulate? I can't believe you've done that.

Actually yes I was under the impression that they needed the originals. But I totally forgot that I made photo copies of those paystubs I sent her. I believe the USCIS accepts copies of those.

If you have kept photocopies of your pay stubs, yes, do include them in your AOS package. Before you do that, make copies of your photocopies.

Hey does that mean that, to this day, the "most recent tax year information" is 2008, right, not 2009? I was worried for a moment that we would have to wait while my husband's 2009 tax returns are sent to us before filing AOS.. In several weeks by the time I get a SSN!!

I'm reassured.

If you haven't filed 2009 taxes yet, then 2008 are still the most recent taxes to use for the USCIS.
