Has anyone called or emailed FBI

Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you have called or emailed FBI. Is there a number to call them? I sent an email back in March and still hasn't received a response. I read someone's post who had talked to FBI just recently. Would appreciate if anyone could give me the number and post their experience.

The FBI no longer responds to email, letter, fax phone calls. they put out a memo recently.

Who can I call to check on the status of my name check?

The FBI will only respond to status inquiries from its customer agencies. Please contact the organization receiving your original application. In Citizenship and Immigration cases, contact USCIS for the status.

This is the number that I called, maybe about two weeks ago - to check on fingerprints but it turned out they never had it - go figure... here's the number for what it's worth - in light of what Laura posted this may not be helpful but nevertheless - 304-625-2000 ... good luck!
