Hi there fellow VJ's.....just worried here....my husband filed our petition this FEbruary 12, 2010 (Friday)...he used MONEY ORDER and then send it VIA USPS....how many days does the NOA1 comes? its almost a week, NOA1 doesnt arrive yet ...just worried if they receive our package/papers........how will you track that online? tried to check it if the USCIS receive the package through the website...www.usps.com...not working, with the tracking #/.. PLEASE HELP....i know all of us experience this...how many days actually to receive the NOA1? bec as i've noticed on all the people here, they got theirs only 5 days to 1 week (NOA1)..Pls share your experience..God Bless

where did he send it from and did he use just normal priority mail? the tracking system for USPS is kinda flakey. I know it takes them awhile to load info in there. It could take up to a week to get to the lockbox and up to another week for him to receive the NOA1 by mail. this is why i like to use personal checks...at least you can track when you are charged....money orders are sometimes hard to track. Give it some more time. Did he include the form g-1145 (form for e-mail and txt updates)?

For those that got their NOA1 within a week, most of them sent their packages express mail i believe...priority is normally delivered within 2-3 business days unless you have it sent registered mail (dont know if that is an option with priority though) and not just return receipt or delivery confirmation.

Hi, I was just about to go crazy myself. I sent my packet in on Feb 10th and I just barely got my NOA1 today (yay), Feb 19th. It should come soon. Probably within the next couple of days.

Hello Scott and Mhay and Loreefabulous....my husband just sent it via USPS with receipt...thats it .....he didnt do any "certified return receipt"...but he does have a receipt on the USPS with tracking #/.....I wish he can receive it...bec we are both worried that its not receive .....Thanks so much for the fast replies.....my husband lives in Sacramento California...

don't worry too much...i got my NOA after 3 weeks.call them after 30 days if you haven't receive anything.

The form is on the USCIS web site, but you would've had to have attached it to your petition before sending it to USCIS.

Btw, I'm going crazy waiting over here, too (we sent our stuff in a week ago). No worries, though … we'll get our NOAs soon enough

Yes i read about it on here and the uscis site. You can still get the txt and email updates, but you will have to wait for the NOA1 with your receipt number. If there is a tracking number from when your husband sent the package, you can keep on trying to see if it is put online. I sent all my stuff from overseas (kuwait) when i was deployed. I could only get a delivery confirmation since you cannot get tracking from an APO.

Not to worry though, you have to remember that monday was a holiday in the US so it will take a day or 2 longer...(it was president's day and all government employees had the day off) I am sure you will get something before the end of next week. Just hang in there....the waiting is just starting...but it should be a fairly smooth ride.

It's a good idea when using USPS to send everything express and notify of delivery. When you send it that way it's updated on the website for tracking better and you'll know for sure it was delivered. It's not expensive but sure worth it!!

HUsband got our NOA1 today in the mail....wants to thank you all guys who gave my some ideas and not to worry too much on this USPS to get the NOA1...but anyway, my husband didnt receive the other NOA1 for my other daughter...how is that guys? is he going to call the USCIS? or just wait again? anyway, how can we track if the papers was approved? what site we will go here in VJ? Thanks guys...you guys rock!!!GodBLess us all
