Hello,

I wanted to get some feedback on my situation, many of you know are familiar with this VAWA deal. I filed back in 1999. when I was 19 years old. My I-360 was approved and I recived my Approval Notice on November 3, 1999. I was given the Priority Date of October 15, 1999. I filed for a working permit right after my approval. I didn't adjust status because I was told I still needed to wait for an available visa according to my priority date. Well I am now over the age of 21, so therefor I have change categories from 2A to 2B, does that sound right? I've aged out of my category therefor I still have a few years to wait for. I've heard that I didn't have to wait for a visa that I could have just adjsted for permanent status. Does anyone have any info on this? I'd appreciate it.

To obtain advice, you need to provide more details. You say you filed in 1999, when you were 19, and now you are 21. So you must have meant 2007. Where are you living now and exactly what are you applying for?

He is over 21 now and filed in 1999.

I guess he means he is not a child anymore and trying to file AOS.
