Hello, I'm new here and starting the CR-1 process. My wife and i met 29 Dec 07 in korea. We separated on 30 Sept 08 where i went to alaska and she went back to the PI on 2 Oct 08. I was finally able to go see my now wife 8th of Aug 09. We got married 29 Aug 09 after being separated for nearly a year. I had to leave the PI 3 Sept 09 because i had to deploy to kuwait. I just got the marriage certificate from my wife and i am now assembling the I-130 package to submit it. Hopefully it wont take too terribly long. I am planning on going back to the PI for our honeymoon in February after my time in kuwait. I hope my next trip after that to the PI will be to bring my wife back the the US with me.

Well, the process is underway now. I just mailed the I-130 on 5 Nov. It will be interesting to see how long it takes them to get the petition since i am mailing it from Kuwait (im deployed). I'm hoping not to very long.
