until u receive the noa2 for the petition about the only thing u can do is make sure that you chat.....call each other make records of everything put together ur pictures and snail mail to prove that there is a relationship between you.....as for the age difference im not sure who it is because i dont pay to much attention to things like that but im sure that there are others that have a age difference and it didnt create a problem...

everything is about proof that the relationship is real........

understanding your relationship is real, make sure you keep records and you have met in person. The first step has been done [i-129F], now is a matter of waiting for USCIS approval, it may take 3 month [as it did for me - Vermont] may take less or could be more. But you should be receiving a letter from USCIS informing you they received your application, a case number and you can follow up your case online [check status of course]. This is the first step in the US, then is send to NVC for background investigation, bla, bla, bla..

Read more, educate yourself during this time about the process and make sure your communication is recorded.. letters, emails, postcards, gifts, etc, etc..

Age, I dont want to be a pesimistic, but i heard of cases where the women is older tha the fiance.. they may give you a little of hard time.. Just make sure all your affairs are in order and most important make sure you have evidance your relationship is real.. Dont forget, the consul is there to make sure you are not looking to take advantage of an american citizen..

Hope this helps,

vp

Now that your fiancee sent the I129F to Vermont, they will send her 2 letters.

The first is what people call a 'NOA1' (Notice Of Action) which is Vermont's way of saying 'we have received your visa petition and are processing it.

If all the information they need was sent with the I129F and the forms were all completed correctly, the next letter is what we refer to as the 'NOA2' and this is them telling you that you have successfully completed the first stage of the application and that Vermont is sending your application to the NVC.

If there is anything missing from the application, Vermont will send your fiancee a 'RFE' which is a Request For Evidence, or more information.

The NVC will process all the security checks they need and once this stage is complete, the NVC will forward your application to your local US Embassy. The embassy will then write to YOU, which people refer to as 'packet 3' and ask you to return certain documents and information. You send this and then they send you 'packet 4' that has your interview date. There are more documents that you will need to take with you to the interview.

So now that your fiancee has sent the I129F, she should start gathering the documents and forms that you will need for your interview. The documents that you need to get together will include going for a medical (that the embassy will tell you where to go for), getting your birth certificate, and police certificates for every country you have lived for more than 6 months since your 16th birthday.

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013
