Hi all!

I'm new to this forum and thought I'd introduce myself with a visa question...

I've been dating my boyfriend, whom i met during a study-abroad trip to Falmouth, JA for about a year and a half now. I've been to jamaica to visit with him several times, even staying with his family for about a month before starting a new job here in the states. While we're not ready to apply for a K-1 visa yet, I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with appling for B2 visas from Jamaica to the US.

If anyone has done so - what was your experience? I've heard he has almost no chance of being approved, but I"m wondering if there are any tips or pointers anyone can give, just so we know how to go about this, and what to anticipate.

any info, good or bad, would be helpfull!

bless :)

I would say it'####### or miss, but these days it seems like it's miss for everyone. I maybe just be bitter because my fiance's parents, sister, uncle and best friend all just got denied to come for our wedding next month. A jamaican told me that at the end of the year is nearly impossible because they (embassy) are only allowed to give so many a year and they have most likley given all or most by now. I asked him if Jan. was better then but he said he's not sure when their year starts. I have no idea if this is true, but figured I'd throw it out there and see if anyone else has heard of this.

Good luck to you and your relationship!
