Honestly the average approval dates here are still from July. I know you think you are correct going through the numbers of VSC, but that cannot be right.

Calm down, you still prob have at least a month or two longer to wait. You don't want to get so overstressed about this that you start feeling ill.

Hahaha, I hope you do too. It is so addictive! My fiance' was denied a student visa because when asked who he was going to live with, he told them his fiance. They scoffed at him (at the embassy) and told him that he needed to apply for a k-1. Since he was denied the student visa for that reason, he cannot get a visa waiver either and can't come to visit at all until this is resolved. I graduate in December and I really wanted him to be there. I can't go over there right now because I am out of vacation time at work and in school at night. So.. the uncertainty is just killing me. I need something I can control, so checking the numbers was almost therapeutic until I realized that we had seemingly been skipped. Good luck to you!

Even after NOA2 be prepared for 2 months or more. You would be really, really lucky if he gets here before your graduation.

We made our own spreadsheet.... Igor's list is nice, but a LOT of people don't come back to update their timelines, so it is not completely accurate. But, that is okay, I am going to try not to obsess that much anymore. I guess I just don't like having to just accept that it takes so long.

Now.. let me preface this by saying that I realize that a lot of you have been waiting longer...but, out of the 1956 applications that were received by the USCIS on September 2nd, ALL of the fiance visa petitions have either been approved or given an rfe...EXCEPT for ours!

We were touched on 9/08 for some reason. I am positive our file is in a pile hidden in the basement, or at somebody's house or just plain lost.

I am happy that I found this site and am happy for everyone who has been approved, but just KNOW that mine is lost.

:(

Dude, Sept??? There are still ppl waiting from March or April..... Hold your horses, it will come in time. I know it's hard to wait but if you haven't reached the est. processing time that uscis has given there is little to nothing you can do. It will come in time.

It's not lost, they will adjudicate you eventually, until about a month ago at VSC their were a lot of petitions that were taking 5 to 6 months normally. anything before that is great.

Best of luck.

I think it's really not fair how some people are acting on here. Everyone has been in this stressing/worrying stage but just because some people have been here waiting a while they think they have the right to make someone else feel like they're stupid for wanting this to hurry and get over with. Everyone needs to get approved but I don't think it's nice or fair to tell someone that they should not be checking/excited/worried just because they haven't been waiting forever.

Waiting does suck!

And in case everyone has forgotten, we're all in this TOGETHER. So how about a little support from everyone FOR everyone?

Yes, but when you are complaining to ppl about waiting a little under 2 months it is kinda annoying to those that had to or a still waiting 5, 6, 7 + months.

Most ppl here are just letting the OP that he can expect to wait about 3 more months if need be. If by then the OP doesn't have an NoA2 they can call USCIS, the congressman, Obama, etc...

And until then the OP's efforts will be fruitless. This is American bureaucracy at its finest so it is best to relax then being all hairy carey. No one said this process is fair or fun, we have all had to wait and if you're gonna freak about waiting 2 months for NoA2 then you're really gonna freak if you get stuck at NVC for additional processing, or waiting 3 months for an interview at the embassy. This is NOT a short process by any means.

My advice to the OP is start getting your Affidavit of Support info ready, practice filling out the DS-230 forms, DS-156,156k,157, or 158 forms....etc (whatever the OP's embassy require) instead of worrying, USCIS is the easy part. After that you're gonna have to deal with adjusting status an all that great stuff, all of these things take time and PATIENTS.

The OP choose this path and had to have know that in this day and age that immigration to the USA is not a cake walk for the most part.

Does it suck to be apart from your loved one... of course, but everyone here is in the same boat more or less. So I can sympathize with the OP. But I do not feel bad in the least bit that he's only been waiting for less than 2 months for an NoA2 when I have seen some ppl on this site that have waited over a year or more!

Relax, no one is trying to be mean if they are they are jerks and disregard them. But patients is the name of the game here.

I hope the OP gets approved soon. Best of luck.

Patience might be the name of the game, but it still doesn't change the fact that this is a stressful situation. Flashing your "I've been waiting so-and-so many months longer than you!" card isn't going to make ANYONE get approved faster(and I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about people who post like that in general). It's just going to cause hurt feelings and make some posters feel like they shouldn't post at all. That's just not right.

In a perfect world this would go in order. Everyone would get approved in the order it came in. I wish it were like that. But it's not. We should all be supportive and be the shoulder to lean on for those who are getting frustrated, not be the first ones in line to tell them to suck it up because it's going to be a longer wait.

I think we can all agree...

... Waiting Sucks...!

Thanks guys! And.. it is not just that we have only been waiting since September. After following the advice of an attorney, back in April, since my fiance wanted to get his masters here also, he applied to school, was accepted and then sent to file for his F-1 Student Visa. After about $1500 total, he was denied and told to file a K-1 visa in August. His interview was about three minutes long and the officer did not even look at his evidence of desire to return to Australia (as our initial plan was to move over there for a while). After some discussion, we decided to come this way instead. I am sorry other people have had to wait, but it does suck for everyone. And, if someone were to get on here after three days and complained about the waiting, I would at least be nice to them and encourage them. I thought that was the purpose of this forum.

For those of you who doubt my statistics, go to the USCIS website and check out the following:

Approved:

EAC0923751176

EAC0923751179

EAC0923751187

EAC0923751195

EAC0923751238

RFE:

EAC0923751195

EAC0923751241

NOA1 resent:

EAC0923751180

Ours is in the sequence before five of them... which led me to believe (if it is an assembly line type process) that ours had/has been misplaced. It is being used as a place mat in the lunchroom, a foot pad in the men's room, a lounge mat for someone's cats, etc. That is all I was trying to say. Have a great night everyone, I hope you dream of something other than longing and waiting.

K

In addition... I didn't even start this topic "complaining." It just seems suspicious that all of the K-1 petitions that were filed on September 2nd, EXCEPT ours has been approved or RFE'd.

Oh.. and the 1956 "applications" encompassed every application sent to the VSC for every type of reason on Sept. 2nd. There were about 11 K-1 petitions filed.
