Congrats Paris! That's great news!!!!! Are you going?

Yes, Im going for sure!!!!!! So much to do, Gosh, HELP!!!!! LOL

Welll dingaling me didn't see your sentence about leaving for Paris!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Post here too so Paris can see it...

Holy ####### Paris... you got your October interview??

How'd you swing that sweet deal? I swear to god, I'm going to relocate to France or something like that. It's been over 9 weeks and we haven't heard a peep yet. None of us Canadians have. NO K1s or CR/IR1s. It's scary.

Congratulations -- it means you guys get to be together SOON! That's amazing...

Sorry I missed that, I have been staying out of these places as hearing about people who finished way after I did getting an interview in the space of a week or two really bums me out.

Am happy for everyone but just dont' want to have to deal with it, ya know???

lgg, Ive been asking the embassy for a earlier date cause of hubbys card expiring Nov. 6th, and finally after almost 3 weeks, they called him today, and said show up Oct. 28th for interview. It was Nov. 17th and his card would of expired by then and would of had to transfer to Algeria.

Im sorry your having too wait so long for a date, its not right!! We all want the same thing, an end to this disneyland adventure.

Congrats Paris! That's great news!!!!! Are you going?

Yes, Im going for sure!!!!!! So much to do, Gosh, HELP!!!!! LOL

Welll dingaling me didn't see your sentence about leaving for Paris!

Nooooo ,your no dingaling, I just added it Hon!!! LOL

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Yeah!

Congrats Paris, it's wonderful to hear your interview will be in your hubby's timeframe and you we be able to be there for that! You both deserve that after all you've been through and after how much help you have given others here. My wife and my thoughts and prayers will be with you on your final step of the journey!

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.

Sooo, we got our interview last week for Nov 11... the operator I spoke with said that it was being forwarded to the embassy... There was a package that went out last week and signed for on Friday by the consulate in Naples....

My husband wrote to Naples to see if there was a chance to get an earlier date for the interview (I know, hate me if you will, I know about everyone waiting forever for interviews, but don't hate me for trying)

Anyways, they replied that they DO have some earlier openings however, they cannot do anything until they receive the case from NVC!!! When I called NVC today, they said that they have not sent it out yet!!!

JIMMINY CHRISTMAS!!! NVC, SEND OUT OUR FILE PLEASE!!! I mean, they are DONE with everything and we are STILL waiting on NVC!!!! Just frustrating... I mean Nov 11 is just around the corner, but if we can get a week or two earlier, then great, if not no biggie, we are still really happy and excited and I have no real reason to b!tch (but I will anyway), but c'mon....

The closer it is, the more impatient we grow!!!

Hope they forward your case soon to Naples. Even though it's only 23 more days of waiting. Oh, never mind. 23 days feels like a lifetime at this point, probably. Good luck eitherway.
