Hey guys,

So i went through the forum and it's quite helpful. I've realized that there are conflicting schools of thought regarding what visas to file...

here's my situation: I am a Canadian citizen who entered the US 7 years ago on a student visa. After graduation, I went onto the TN visa and worked for 2 yrs in NYC.

My spouse (US citizen) were married three weeks ago and I would just like to know what steps I need to take now to file for the green card. Please do not abbreviations...I haven't gotten acclimated yet to the lingo.

From what I know so far...

We file the I-485, and the I-130. Is that it? Is that all we file for now?

What are the exact procedures? Do we file other documents and send them all in at once?

As you can tell, I'm a little lost.
