Hi everyone,

Today I received the approval notice (aka welcome notice) of my conditional residence. I have a couple of questions

1) I still possess my original SS card which was issued to me when I was on F1 visa. The card has a stamp that says "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH INS AUTHORIZATION". Now my AOS is approved, do I need to apply for a new SS card?

2) My driving license is valid for another 3 years, but there is a red stamp on it saying "NON-TRANSFERABLE & NON-RENEWABLE." Do I need to get a new driving license?

3) Currently, I am working on EAD. Do I inform my employer now or should I wait for the actual card to arrive before breaking the new to my employer?

4) Do I have to take any other action to stay compliant with my new status?

Thanks a bunch

Hi everyone,

Today I received the approval notice (aka welcome notice) of my conditional residence. I have a couple of questions

1) I still possess my original SS card which was issued to me when I was on F1 visa. The card has a stamp that says "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH INS AUTHORIZATION". Now my AOS is approved, do I need to apply for a new SS card? Its better though optional to remove the restriction on getting your GC.

2) My driving license is valid for another 3 years, but there is a red stamp on it saying "NON-TRANSFERABLE & NON-RENEWABLE." Do I need to get a new driving license? Take your GC and license to your DPS/DMV. You will be issued one with no restrictions.

3) Currently, I am working on EAD. Do I inform my employer now or should I wait for the actual card to arrive before breaking the new to my employer? Tell your employer, it may ensure continuity of your job.

4) Do I have to take any other action to stay compliant with my new status? Just remember to lift conditions.

Thanks a bunch
