Hey guys,

I read the embassy reviews, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice to which embassy my fiance should interview at. I know Turkey is the popular choice for most Iranian applicants, but I have heard good and bad things about it. My fiance can easily interview in Englsih, so an interview in Persian is not necessary. Is there any embassy that is historically faster?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely good luck! I am just about done with my packet and Farzin and I decided on Turkey. He has a cousin (who married a Turkish man) that lives in Istanbul, and they said they woudl help us with anything we needed in Ankara. I'm so excited! :luv:

My husband had his interview in Abu Dhabi on May 19th---I went with him, which I believe was a plus---he got his visa the next day. Ankara seems to be a lot tougher on Iranians. Cyprus is another place that I hear used to give visas real easily, but I know a visa to cyprus is difficult to obtain for iranians... and I'm not sure they do marriage visas anymore (I think they only do visitor/student visas now, but check on that because I'm not sure). The main positive in using Dubai/Turkey is that they provide Iranians with quick travel visas from Iran to their country. European countries like Italy do not--and they might even wonder why you picked a country a lot further than the two countries close by. I think your best bet would be Abu Dhabi... try and go to the interview with your husband to show that the relationship is real and that you care--and take lots of pictures of the two of you together and with friends and family.

Hope this helps... let me know if there's anything else I can help with

My son and his fiancee opted for Abu Dhabi. NCV forwarded thier case to the Embassy on 10/21, so they haven't actually had an interview yet.

Good luck to all!!!

M, do you think the interview can be just as successful if the USC can not attend. Depending on when they set the interview my son may not get to go.

Did she get AP before or after the interview? I'm trying not to get my hopes up before the interview because you never know if there will be further AP after the interview or not.

They notified her at the end of interview.

Hello Everybody,

The Fiance and I applied for Turkey also .. at first, on the petition we had Istanbul .. but after the NOA 2 , we received the letter stating it got fowarded to Ankara ... found out later all Iranians get fowarded there .... this is the first hearing about the difficulties there .... but I feel that you should just keep positive ... bring lots of proof to the interview, all should be fine .... I also heard about cases where the USC went to the interview and they were kinda of rude to them??? I don't know? Iam considering to go anyway .... see what happens .... Just keep positive everybody, It will all work out ... Leave it for God to sort out
