Actually, The Onion is -originally, and still primarily - a satirical newspaper, published by some funny-types at U. Wisconsin/Madison.

The online version on the website and their daily podcasts appeared long after the print version got started, I think back in the 70s.

The movie was quite funny, though with the same hit-or-miss of the newspaper.

Oh, and about strip clubs, some women here have mentioned whether they'd like to accompany their guys to the clubs.

I did go with my finacee to a Patpong pingpong show in Bangkok. That was a very surreal experience. Complete with the 'cigarette' trick, water balloons... much more of a freak show than a seduction. My fiancee thought it was 'interesting', probably a polite Thai way for saying "let's not do that again, honey!"

As the girl who's best friends have always been males, and has gone on occasion to the clubs with my buds, I can tell you this for sure....

If a man, is not a frequenter of the Strip joints (ie. eats lunch there daily, spends $$$$ on them), but goes only when there is a gathering of his buddies (ie. bachelor party), and this man is in a healthy, happy relationship, the whole time he is there, all he is wanting to do, is get back home to you, to get it on

Thye don't sit there and fantazise about the woman who's up on stage shaking there thang, there actually sitting there, getting reved up, and coming up with a game plan of what they want to do to you when they get home.

Now if a dude is a regular, well that's a whole other thing

But sounds like you have your opinion and a picture set in your mind, which is cool. All I am saying is at these clubs, the dudes who are not regulars, but go with buddies on rare occasions for a bachelor party, are usually sitting in chairs by the stage, joking with each other, having some beers, and not taking the thing serious at all. MOst of the guys want to get back to there girls. As I said before, with regulars, (ie. the ones who spend money on private lap dances and vip rooms) well that's a whole other thang on so many levels

I am sitting home on this saturday night while my husband attends his brother's bachelor party. I know that they are getting a few strippers even though both Chris and Jared asked them not to..but Chris has got those kinda friends who just love strippers.

Any way- How do you guys feel about strippers? Do you think it's no big deal for your significant other to go to a strip club or be at parties where strippers are involved? Does it make you insecure if you say that it bothers you?

I really don't see the problem with it in this case. But, I feel like I'm almost sitting on the fence. I'm secure enough in a marriage to know that my husband wouldn't cheat, but at the same time, I know that a lot of strippers do more than just strip and I'm not sure if I want my husband seeing other female parts besides mine.

I went 1 time in the 7 years I have been in South Florida. I dunno. A woman dressed sexy with a mini skirt on or other revealing clothing has a better effect than one just moving around naked. I guess kind of like a cake. Its the frosting that gives it appeal. take that away, the cake is just kind of boring with nothing on. and who wants to eat that?

I'm visiting Houston soon (yes, in August, the worst month to go) because my brother will be there for a week. I'm not overly thrilled at seeing my Dad, but at least I'm only staying a week.

The point of the above is that my brother is interested in visiting a strip club. I know he'd like me along, so I told my wife about it. She thought it'd be okay, so long as I don't get a lap dance or actively "handle" the strippers. She knows that strippers will sometimes plop themselves right down in your lap, hoping they'll get money out of you for a dance or two.

I'm not quite sure why she's worried. She knows I wouldn't do anything behind her back -- even if I wanted to, why would I inform her of anything? I've been to a strip club three times in my life. The first time was awesome (a friend brought me there for my 18th birthday), but after that it got very boring. Sure, a lap dance is fun, but unless you're looking for "extras" (which I wasn't) there's not a whole lot to do, other than burn lots of money.
