How do you feel about strippers?

So,

I am sitting home on this saturday night while my husband attends his brother's bachelor party. I know that they are getting a few strippers even though both Chris and Jared asked them not to..but Chris has got those kinda friends who just love strippers.

Any way- How do you guys feel about strippers? Do you think it's no big deal for your significant other to go to a strip club or be at parties where strippers are involved? Does it make you insecure if you say that it bothers you?

I really don't see the problem with it in this case. But, I feel like I'm almost sitting on the fence. I'm secure enough in a marriage to know that my husband wouldn't cheat, but at the same time, I know that a lot of strippers do more than just strip and I'm not sure if I want my husband seeing other female parts besides mine.

Ah, I don't know.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

To each, their own is my opinion but I personally don't know how I'd feel if my husband went to a strip club...but if Jenna Jameson still stripped..heck, I'd go. I have a crush on her.

I don't really know how I feel about it, I wouldn't care in some ways but in other ways I think it would bug me. Like if they come home all hot and bothered and its all do to a stripper I don't think I'd be happy.

yup no clue

Are your questions open to the guys as well?

As in -- how do we feel if our SOs want to do a night-out to Chippendales to watch the beefcakes strut their stuff and display their packages?

I don't think my honey is into that, but if she was I don't think I'd mind at all.

And you're quite right that most strip clubs these days involve quite a bit more than just stripping. Most typically involve some form of lap dancing, including (often) some intense grinding activity. Fwiw, Canadian clubs are often much more liberal about their rules for touching etc. than American ones. Depending on jurisdiction (and this is typically decided at a local municipality or county level), clubs may require G-strings or other covering as opposed to full nudity, and may also restrict the contact in private dances (table dances, lap dances, etc.) I know all this from purely academic research studies, of course. :innocent: .

I think your approach seems very reasonable - let him go out and enjoy himself, keep the trust in the relationship strong, keep open lines of communication. Let him know how you truly feel: that you don't want to repress him, but you do have natural internal conflicts about the issue. Chances are he'll appreciate you all the more for the open and frank attitude to the subject.

Personally, I dislike the idea of strippers. I know Wes would behave himself, but neither of us are into it, so I don't really understand the guys who are trying to force them on him for his bachlor party. If someone doesn't like that, why not do something fun? My bachlorette is going to be me and my bridesmaids having an awesome fun day at Disney acting like 5 year olds. Its something we all like, my sister who is my MOH doesn't drink, so we aren't even doing the bar hopping thing. I hope his dudes will do like video games or go to the track or something he will actually have. As it is his opinion is that if they do the stip club thing, hes not going as he doesnt like strippers and doesnt drink either. I think I'm more offended by the people who insist on doing it than the strippers themselves, but yes it does make me a little uncomfortable at the thought of him staring at some other woman.

:)

While I have no problem with strippers in general - ie: I don't think all strip clubs should be shut down - I would so not be happy with my Husband going to see strippers and no it doesn't make me feel like I am insecure saying that.

Now, he is not interested in strippers, which is a good thing in my book, but if he wanted to go to a strip club or to a bachelor party where there were strippers - I would not be happy about it.

I don't understand why a married man would want to be in a room with naked women - well I mean I do - but I don't think it's cool at all.

I like going to good ones with friends once in a while, I don't like male strippers because I just don't feel they put as much into their act as the girls do.

I went to a male strip club ONCE and I got kicked out. The stripper came up to me and started gyrating his hips in my face and his THING was just OUT there so I turned my head and put my hand out to wave him away and.......

I ended up accidentally smacking his peen. :( I was so mortified and he walked away but a minute later some big italian man came up to me and escorted me out. I DIDN'T WANT TO TOUCH IT! UGH! Those kinds of guys aren't even my types! Cowboy hat wearing oiled up men in speedos with ####### rings on... no thanks. Ugh.

I don't think much of male strippers- I don't find them very sexy. You'll never see me hoot and holler and try to stick money down their pants.

Female strippers- I have gone. Some are fantastic on the pole and put on a great show. One time I went with a guy I was dating and one of the girls took a shine to me and came and sat down beside me. She was so f@cked up on something and I just felt sorry for her.

It doesn't bother me, as long as it is just a strip show, and no audience "participation". Those events are generally controlled by a large burly looking guy that keeps the girls out of trouble. Beyond that, it depends how much you trust your partner.
