The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

it is getting cold?? could have fooled me.. :P

it was in the 90's here in LA today...

Its the typical 'its a cold weather observation thusly climate is not getting warmer' conclusion. I am not surprised. I don't think you are either.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I am not a "true believer", but exactly what does the OP article add to the debate, other than a convenient title?

OP posted a link, to increase social awareness. We were hoping to gain kernels of wisdom from YOU however on the matter.

I'm just wondering what the "Faithful" are going to think when the myth is played-out?

If you're old enough to remember the great Global Cooling Threat, then you know. It just peters away . . . . Westerners have very short memories.

Climate has changed nonstop. Humans or no humans. Time to educate the left.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

I live in near SF (30 miles away) ... this summer has been like spring time, today was a little hot, but other than today and just a few more odd days, it has been cold here.

Recent weather makes me wonder but I really don't care if GW has any truth to it, because no matter, it is good to conserve.

Certainly have to believe in climate change, in Wisconsin, we are suppose to have spring, summer, fall, and winter, but the last three years, winter has been spreading into both fall and spring, like sub zero temperatures in both October and March! We did enjoy kayaking and swimming yesterday, but only for a couple of hours when the temperature rose to 73*F, but rapidly dropping down into the 60's. That brought about a discussion between my wife and me, a better place to live, wife neither likes extremes heat nor cold, where do you find a place like that?

Only place I can think of is back to Venezuela, but she sure in the hell doesn't want to go back there, couldn't afford to buy food, and we certainly couldn't find work to pay for it.

In Wisconsin, we are really victims of wind patterns, if strong arctic blasts from the north, temps can drop to -45*F or rise into the 50's-60's if we get a strong wind blast from the SW. Whether these climate changes are natural or man made will be an endless debate. But I feel that buying a fossil fuel burning hybrid vehicle sure in the hell isn't the solution.

Indeed. Not about educating anyone but morons that don't understand the meaning of the word pollution and its relationship to influencing climate.

Don't worry about VZ. I'll try going during the holidays to see how much more expensive food is than in neighboring Colombia. Although every time people on the border want to fill up on gas and buy foodstuffs, they go to the VZ side. Must be hella expensive in Colombia then.

Could be in that town you go to, wife's property is in Caracas, but yes PAN flour and gasoline is still cheap, rest is sky high. Disappointed that we didn't do that trade agreement with Colombia, seems like all US products, (food) is about 30% greater than here. See the price of Colombian coffee here is getting skyhigh as well, average price is about 9 bucks for a 34.5 ounce can or more. Gasoline prices in Colombia were about the same as here, expensive. Bogota also has a near constant temperature year round, my wife's relatives don't even have a HVAC system in their homes, that saves a couple of bucks each year. Ha, but don't drink the water. Her entire family lives in Bogota. Mother-in-law with a four bedroom three bath brick home only has to pay 80 bucks a year in property taxes, could live with that as well. Between taxes and energy cost, we could save over $12,000 per year.

We do save a little money by bringing US dollars, instead of the exchange rate of 2,200 Bs, we manage to get more like 5,000 Bs for a buck, they love US dollars down there.
